Safekeeping

At the core of securities services, lies the primary service of asset safekeeping. Sakekeeping must be managed to ensure access to a wide number of markets and simplify the ongoing holding of client securities

In order to provide flexibility, ACS provides both segregated and omnibus account structures and can offer the use of its own nominee companies, or a nominees company of our local agent, where registration is required. As such, clients only need once complete account setup documentation with Altree (as required under regulatory statute and compliance procedures). Once completed, clients are free to transact immediately aross all ACS markets, without fear of being encumbered by related operational, compliance, control and regulatory due diligence across multiple different counterparties. These services include the provision of core banking, foreign exchange, settlement and safe-keeping services, and may also cover the documentation requirements for trade execution via Securities Africa Limited, a leading Pan-African broker-dealer, which is also owned by the Altree Group of Companies.
